Pipe boundary layer and swept mesh

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am modeling flow through a pipe (cylindrical domain). Ideally, I would like to create a quad mesh on one circular face of the cylindrical domain and sweep this to the other circular face. Then, I would like to create boundary layer mesh for better wall resolution. However, I cannot create a boundary layer mesh after I have swept out the quad mesh through the domain. Is there a way around this problem?

Thank you!

Nevermind, I got it. For anyone wondering, the answer is in this other post: https://www.comsol.com/forum/thread/20719/using-distributed-mesh-in-3d

Maybe I was doing something wrong before, but if you follow those steps it should work (I used quad mesh instead of the triangular mesh used in the post, and it still worked).
