geometric problem

i have create an array of point along the circunference of a hollow cylinder which represent a mass spring system. Apparently the solution with and without the mass -spring sytem is the same. i think that the point generate are not attached to the structure, i have used boolean operation Union but it s still not working. can i have any suggestion how to solve it ?
