Creating a Piezoelectric Stack Actuator

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

Is there any way to build a precise model of a piezoelectric stack actuator that consists of many layers?
The thickness of ceramic and electrodes layers is about 100 micrometers. So, if the height of the actuator is 10 millimetres, then I would have to create 100 layers.
Is that correct, or there is another way to do it?

Best regards,
Marwan

Marwan,

you can use an array node to multiply a geometry.

Cheers
