Static Stress analysis to dynamic (fatigue) analysis - material property data

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Our company may consider the purchase of the fatigue module, but we are curious as to what input characteristics we would need to define in the material for a dynamic fatigue analysis.

We are concerned that it may be very difficult to obtain such data. For a static structural mechanical model of a spring, all I need in terms of material properties are density (rho), Poissons Ratio (nu) and Young's Modulus (E).

However, I am guessing much more information will be needed for a fatigue analysis!

Thanks in advance for any guidance,

Mark
