Coupling of Richard's equation and Darcy's equation in solute transport modelling

Hence, I tried the second method. I saw the two layers as a whole and used only Richard's equation, in which "fluid and matrix properties" kept the same settings as previous Darcy's equation. Consequently, the velocities in two layers kept continued at the junction.
These two method should have obtained the same results, but the truth is different, can someone help me? Thanks a lot!
