Graphics window on Material screen is just white

Normally the materials section lets me pick out domains, but for some reason even though the settings are the same now, I can only select boundaries and it doesn't shade it in once it's selected. What gives? It hurts my eyes to try and figure out which sections are which material right now.

It's funny because there are parts of my geometry I can disable and it goes back to normal. It basically craps out when I create a circle that mostly overlaps another circle (concentric to an extent). That 2nd circle goes away later in my geometry build, though.
