axial symmetry in general form PDE

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I have built a 2D axisymmetry model with general form PDE to solve mass transport, but I cannot set the axial symmetry boundary since there is no such option, even for the zero flux the symmetrical boundary 3 is not applicable as the following picture shows. Is this boundary condition default with no need for setting? I'll appreciate it if anyone konws about this problem.

This is a nasty part in COMSOL... I couldn't find it anywhere.

Hi Pu,

Thanks for your prompt reply. My simulation can be carried out even without setting this axial boundary condition. But the result seems not so correct so I want to confirm whether it matters or not. Do you know about its influence or just default setting, or is there any other substitution for it?

Nope... I don't know the solution yet.
