Level Set Method in Comsol 3.3a

I'm using Comsol 3.3a to model single phase transition (solid-to-liquid) using two phase flow level set method. I have two domains: air and a pure metal. I'm encountering singularity near the air and metal interface so the solution will not converge. I have used artificial diffusion to reduce the "blown up" calculation but no luck prevailed. Do you have any suggestion?
