COMSOL, Inc. is seeking Test Engineers with a specialty in JAVA, XML, C# and numerical computing to join its Burlington, MA office. We are seeking an individual to develop and build automated tests for our application programming interface (JAVA) and our graphical user interface (XML). A background in finite element methods, finite volume methods, or direct numerical simulation is needed, as well as experience with JAVA, XML and C#.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create unit tests using JAVA or C#.
  • Maintain and administrate existing JAVA and XML based tests.
  • Create new utility tools to facilitate the running of tests.
  • Look for ways to improve the quality of our software.

  • Genuine interest in mathematical modeling, computational physics, and software simulation.
  • High energy, self-motivated, quick study with flexible nature.
  • Comfortable working in Windows, OS X and Linux development environments.

  • B.Sc or M.S. in physics, applied mathematics or numerical computing.
  • Demonstrated experience with computational modeling.
  • Familiarity with COMSOL Multiphysics is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong JAVA and C# programming skills.
  • Familiar with Cygwin, Linux etc.
