Role Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to extend the capabilities of the AC/DC Module add-on product to COMSOL Multiphysics®. That is to identify, design, create, and document key features and functionality for modeling electric systems in the low frequency regime. The successful applicant will be part of a team of electrical engineers, plasma physicists, semiconductor physicists and RF and wave optics experts, working in close collaboration with our expert teams in COMSOL's core functionality; geometry handling, meshing, rendering, and numerical solver development.
Qualifications
We are looking for applicants with the following qualifications:
- A PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Physics, preferably with experience in applied computational electromagnetics.
- Fluent in Maxwell's equations, with a good understanding of the associated computational methods.
- Practical experience with applications related to resistive and capactive effects, such as sensors, actuators, or power electronics.
- Interested in the usability aspects of software design.
- Good technical-writing skills.
Familiarity with COMSOL Multiphysics® is a strong merit but not a strict requirement.
