Intensive Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics®

November 23–24, 2026 Kgs. Lyngby 8:30

Back to Events Calendar

Get Started with Using COMSOL Multiphysics®

Learn the essential modeling workflow through instructor-led demonstrations and hands-on exercises. Over two focused days, you will build a foundation for setting up, solving, and evaluating models in COMSOL Multiphysics®. You will also see an agentic workflow in action and learn how it can be used to extend your modeling capabilities.

Build Skills You Can Continue to Extend

This course combines technical explanations, guided demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. You will learn the basic steps for modeling in COMSOL Multiphysics®, from setting up the geometry and physics to solving the model and interpreting its results.

You will also see a live demonstration of an agentic workflow that complements the modeling process. The workflow will provide a practical starting point for exploring new approaches that can expand your modeling work.

Schedule

Day 1: Building a Model in COMSOL Multiphysics®

8:30–16:00 Please check in between 8:00–8:30. You are welcome to join us for breakfast during this time!

We will begin with a guided introduction to the software's user interface, highlighting the key steps in the modeling workflow. In particular, we will walk you through:

  • Parameters, selections, variables, and functions
  • Geometry creation and materials
  • Physics setup and multiphysics couplings
  • Studies and solver configurations, including for time-dependent problems
  • Results evaluation and visualization

Day 2: Developing Your Modeling Skills

8:30–16:00 Please check in between 8:00–8:30. You are welcome to join us for breakfast during this time!

The second day will build upon the training from the previous day with more examples and discussion addressing:

  • CAD import and geometry preparation
  • Automatic and user-defined meshing
  • Mesh assessment and adaptive meshing
  • Parametric studies and model refinement
  • Simulation apps
  • Agentic workflows

Depending on time and the interests of participants, other course topics may be considered.

Refreshments

Breakfast, lunch, afternoon cake, and tea and coffee will be provided both days of the course.
