Modeling Corrosion and Corrosion Protection with COMSOL Multiphysics®

The use of multiphysics simulation has proven to be crucial for understanding corrosion processes and progression, helping designers determine effective corrosion prevention methods.
COMSOL Multiphysics® and its add-on Corrosion Module provide a wide range of features dedicated to modeling corrosion processes. The software also includes specialized functionality for modeling corrosion protection devices, including systems based on sacrificial anodes or impressed current.
In this webinar, we will illustrate the modeling capabilities of COMSOL® using examples of galvanic corrosion and cathodic protection. We will show how multiphysics simulation can help engineers better predict and understand corrosion processes and design effective protection systems.
