Time domain Solver

I'm wonder that time domain solver takes very long time (more than 24 hours) although the significant memory size available (128G). The file to be simulated is a block of metal 6*3*2m, the intended simulation is based on Heat Transfer with surface to surface radiation. Is anybody has an interpretation for such serious problem. I'm knowing that heat transfer problems taking a long time but in my case it is very very consuming time
