How to export far-field pattern at custom directions?

I would like to export the far-field pattern of EM scattering at given directions as defined as points on the unit sphere. I use export data and choose the coordinates from a file. This seems work if the obstacle is near the origin. However, if the obstacle is far from the origion, then the results are NaN.
