Continuity boundary conditions between 2 materials

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everybody,

I'm currently having trouble with boundary conditions between 2 materials in 1D representation.
I use the weak formulation in a stationary problem dealing with a 1D beam (one half of the column has a specific density (rho) and Young Modulus (E), and the other half has different ones)

My problem is that I don't know how to link the 2 domains, Comsol says that it can not find a solution. I tried to set 2 different materials (but this is absurd because i'm working with weak formulations). Thus I made 2 different weak formulations for each domain and tried to link them to each other.

So, is there anyone who know how to set my bounding point in Comsol in order to get a solution ?

Thanks a lot if you could help me !

Regards,

Jules
