Thermal conduction

I have a problem with conduction from approximately 220 degrees F to 72 degrees F. I have two pieces of 18-12 gauge steel in contact with one another and I was wondering if ther might be compressive resistant, fire resistant coating chemistry that I could use to thermally block the heat being conducted from one piece to the other. My goal is to achieve 90-95% thermal break.
