Difference between electrostatic and eectric currents results

I am working with a capacitor model in which I want to study the potential drop profile of the dielectric material placed inside the plates of the capacitor. When I apply a voltage of the order 10^7 in the [electrostatic physics+stationary study], i get potential drops of the order 10^5.However when i use the [electric currents physics+time dependant study] to simulate voltages that vary with time(but remains in the same order of magnitude of voltage), the potential drop is only of the order 0.01 etc.

Why am I getting very different results? I tried to see if its steady state effects-- but it doesnt seem so.
