Tie constraint

Dear all,

In Abaqus there is a connection model called ''tie constraint''. Is there any equivalent to this connection type in COMSOL?

By using an Identity Pair together with Continuity in the physics interface you will get an analogous coupling.

Hi Henrik,

Thanks for your reply. In a paper, it was mentioned that they have used tie constraint to make a perfect bonding between shell and solid in ABAQUS. So, does it mean they have used identity pair and Continuity for shell-solid perfect connection?

Hi Shaghayegh,

In that case, you should use a Solid-Shell Connection multiphysics coupling.
