How to describe shear modulus and relaxation time for Generalized Maxwell body to 2D plate motion

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Really I need help about how to define shear modulus and relaxation time for Generalized Maxwell body. Elastic properties Young’s modulus E =8E10 Pascal, Poison’s ratio v= 0.25, density = 3200 kg/cubic meter and viscosity nu=1E18 Pascal second. Shear modulus is calculated G = E/{2*(1+v)} and Bulk modulus is calculated K = 2*G*(1+nu)/{3*(1-2*v)}.

Instantaneous Shear modulus Gi = G*EXP (-t/lamda),
where constant relaxation time lamda= nu/G and t is current time.

Do I use instantaneous shear modulus for Generalized Maxwell body? Then what will be the relaxation time for corresponding instantaneous shear modulus for Generalized Maxwell body?

Here is attached my model. Please help me by describing how to solve this problem.

Thanks
Tariqul
