Initial value does not match input

I have input an initial temperature of 293.15 K (the default value) for my model, but when I noticed a strange hot spot showing up in my transient model (but not in the SS model) I checked the surface plot for t = 0 and saw that the hot spot was present there. Any thoughts on why this would occur and how to fix it? I am using the "extremely fine" mesh option right now.
In case it is relevant (it shouldn't be, but I don't know why such a simple problem would occur!), there are three material phases modeled by three different physics modules (Joule heating, heat transfer in solids, heat transfer in fluids). They are in thermal contact so I have set temperature BCs equal to the contiguous phase for each common boundary.
Thanks!
