Surface Reaction (Mesh Moving?)

I am currently trying to model a 2D surface reaction where there is bulk accumulation along the reaction surface. I was wondering if it is possible to use this transient accumulation to adjust the flow. I have spent a lot of time looking at ALE with moving mesh and have gotten close with it but it is not doing what I want it to. I was hoping to be able to have this accumulating surface become a porous material that flow could penetrate.
Please let me know if there is a different module I need to purchase or if there is something else I can try.
Thanks for your time,
Ryan
