Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have modelled a thermoelectric module (simplified), a picture is attached. Now i want to gain the interfacial shear stress between two layers. I have tried it with the expression in the results section: solid.sx, solid.sy and solid.sxy As far as i understand, solid.sxy should be the squareroot of squared sx and sy, vectorial addition, but in my case, sxy is much smaller. The question i have now, which is the right expression to choose when wanting to display shear stress in the material? is solid.sxy the correct one, or is there a dedicated shear stress expression in comsol? The model is built in a normal xyz axis system where the base lies in the xy plane, z is the height. Thanks in advance for a clarification and help!
