Modelling transport of species in porous media

I hope someone can give me some advice. We are currently modelling pyrolysis of large coal particles which involves including for reaction kinetics, heat transfer and mass transfer. We have decided to describe conservation of volatile products formed by the Darcy law and transport of species in transport media respectively. The volatile products consist of product gases and water vapour and therefore I have defined two species in the transport of species in porous media module. As you know the module requires the inclusion of a velocity, which in this case is the velocity calculated from the Darcy equation. The problem however is to calculate the correct velocity, which requires that the total pressure of the total gas mixture (products and initial air) must be determined. I am struggling to link desnities I obtain fro the different species with the Darcy module inlcuding for total pressure?
Any suggestions?
Kind regards
