Obsolete features in Newer versions of COMSOL

I am currently using COMSOL 6.0 working on a rather complicated old thermal model. Some of the features in this model are lebeled as obsolete.

I was wondering if features like 'thin thermally resistive layer' still works despite being obsolete; Or they are just ignored suring computation?

It still works, but it has been marked as obsolete in the user interface since version 5.0 (released 2014). You should really consider replacing it with the more modern Thin Layer feature.

In general, we do not remove old obsolete features unless there are compelling reasons to do so, but they are not maintained or further developed. As long as it is present in the model tree, it should work.
