magned no moving

Hey.

I have this problem:

I have two magnets oriented so that the north pole of one facing the North Pole 2 in the common axis X. Magnets are so close to each other should be
repel.
But magnets will not move.
Geometry in 2D.
What should I do to make magnets moved apart?

Hi

to get something to "move, you need to use also the appropriate physics = solid or your own PDE's in addition to the MFNC, MF or MEF physics, and include the force calculation in the ACDC term + link it to the solid.

Now this allows to calculate the displacements (provided you have some restoring forces (action = reaction) such as a spring or perhaps, much trickier some stick-slip motion, but you will not "see" the displacement as the mesh is static. To implement also motion you need to add the ALE physics to allow the mesh of the surrounding air to deform with the motion, note add the ALE physics first in the list, then the ACDC one finally the solid. But check if there is not one predefined (such as EMI)
