Hi,
I am simulating an open water channel (0.31m x 6m x 0.4m width, large and height) with k-e turbulence model. The boundary conditions are: walls and floor as wall function, upper boundary as open boundary, inlet with an exponential profile and the final part with outlet condition. The study is stationary. The computing doesn't resolve the shear layer.
Is it possible to couple two models?, Low Reynolds number k-e and k-e. The first to calculate the shear layer and the second to resolve from the shear layer to the upper boundary.
Thanks.
