Hello,

Is it possible to define mesh elements as subdomain and give each of them a source like current density? or is it possible to give each node a source?

Thanks,
Gizem

Gizem,

the COMSOL approach is based on geometrical entities like boundaries and domains, so to my knowledge it is not possible to directly access mesh elements.
However, you can assign any kind of function to domains and boundaries. So you could define a current density as a function of whatever to a boundary or to a domain. This may be a good or even superior approach to a mesh based approach.

Cheers
Edgar

Edgar, first of all thank you for the comments that you are writing for my topics.

Actually I am trying to do this :

I created a subdomain and then give a point inside this subdomain 1V. After that I exported current density data which was created by 1V as a text file. In this text file, current density information is given according to coordinates on the subdomain. Now, my aim is to use this data as source for the next step but I can not import this file as source. How can I import several current density value for several coordinates on my subdomain?

Regards,
Gizem

Gizem,

this sound like you should use a study sequence. Study1 gives you a current distribution and you use it to run the next step in Study2.
