How to define linearly polarized light at 45 deg in comsol3.5.
I used 2 D model, used hybrid modes and an assembly of ports and gave amplitudes for Ez and Hz such that amplitude of Ex=Ez so that the orthogonal components are equal in magnitude. But that did not force the angle between E-field and z- axis(out of the plane) to be exactly 45 deg.
Can you tell me what is wrong with the input? Has anybody faced this problem?
