Secondary electrons (user defined speed) in cpt module

in the module charged particle tracing, there is an option for simulating secondary electrons. When the option hemisphere is chosen, the secondary electrons are released randomly over a hemisphere. There is also an option for a user defined velocity of the secondary electrons. However, this means that every single secondary electron originated from the same primary electron will have the same velocity and thus follow the same path.
Is there a way to specify the initial velocity of the secondary electrons with some randomness? i.e. that the total velocity is constant, but the components are randomized? I tried to use the random function in COMSOL and also matlab to generate a random velocity. However, COMSOL use the random velocity as a constant during the generation of the secondary electrons at one point before it generate a new random velocity for the next point. This means that only one unique path will be generated.
