Coffee extraction involves coupled fluid flow and mass transfer within a porous coffee bed. In this work, a multiphysics simulation framework was developed in COMSOL Multiphysics® by combining porous media flow, species transport, and extraction equations. A literature-based method was implemented and validated in COMSOL to predict the evolution of pressure, flow distribution, and soluble coffee concentration in a specified brewing process. The model provides 3D distributions of extraction-related transport phenomena, serving as a guide for experimental investigation while establishing an efficient workflow for brewing research. Future work will extend the framework to incorporate heat transfer and additional body forces, such as centrifugal loads and high-frequency oscillations, enabling quantitative evaluation of extraction performance and supporting the development of next-generation brewing technologies.
