Does Comsol allow only continuous flow ?

Is it possible only to simulate continuous flow in Comsol multiphysics where the liquid is available at the inlet continuously and it leaves at the outlet?
How to give the boundary conditions where the fluid flow get stopped as there is no available liquid for flow? How to define the domain in such cases?

Hi,

I think you need to carry out transient simulation for this case. You can also add a COMSOL function at the inlet boundary in order to define mass flow rate decay.

Depending on what physical phenomena you are trying to simulate, you may also want to dig more into COMSOL's capabilities for multiphase flow simulations (CFD Module and Microfluidics Module). A starting point on that topic is this blog post:
