Remeshing in version 4.1

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am a beginning user, and I am trying to find the dialogue box for remeshing, while using the ALE or Deformed Geometry modules. I have seen reference to this feature in the Modeling Guide, but not how it is implemented in version 4.1. I think I just need help finding the interface.

I am trying to re-draw a mesh that is being stretched while moving.

Thank you for your replies.

Hi

at p648 of the 4.1 user manual its written:
1 Add a stop condition
2 View the deformed mesh
3 Copy the solution
4 Create a deformed configuration
5 Remesh the deformed configuration
6 Continue solving with the new mesh
...

Now I too expected a "check" remesh at each run in the solver sequence, as there were in 3.5
I must admit I havent used this option in v4 yet, the automatic remeshing is perhaps not implemented yet, I have heard that 4.2 will come in a few months, but still we need to work until then anyhow ;)

Good luck

Thank you, that is what I was looking for.

For those looking for similar: search for "Remeshing a Deformed Mesh" in the COMSOL help documentation.
