I am studying complex band structure of a 1D two-layer periodic unit cell consisting of:
One elastic layer One viscoelastic layer (with damping)
My goal is to compute and plot:
Real part of wavenumber (Re(k)) vs frequency Imaginary part of wavenumber (Im(k)) vs frequency
to identify attenuation regions (band gaps).
