Reducing Solar Heat Gain from Inclined Buildings’ Roof by Using Radiant Barrier System
发布日期 2013
The study produced a simulated model of natural convection in an inclined rectangular channel open ended with different locations of radiant barrier (RB) along the channel thickness(S). The upper plate is heated by various uniform constant heat fluxes while the inner surface of the lower plate has a very thin layer with low emissive aluminum foil. This model was used to adjust the location of RB (A) in the air gap between plates of the channel at a fixed angle and different uniform heat fluxes. The objective is to measure the heat flux passed through the lower plate, RB reduces heat gain into the roof by 77%. Nusselt number and Reynolds number correlations are determined to calculate heat transfer coefficient.
