Mass balance for porous media flow

in porous media, Darcy eqn. solves both pressure and velocity distribution. I have ideal gas flowing in theporous media. As I solve the presssure from Darcy, I can automatically know the density or let's say concentration from ideal gas relation if I know the temperature. So, I do not have to use convection and diffusion eqn. (mass balance) at this case. But there is a reaction term in the mass balance eqn. that I also know it by knowing temperature and pressure. If I ignore the mass balance (convection diffusion eqn.) how can I understand the mass balance is satisfied or not?
