joining 2 plates modeled with shell element

I have to join 2 plates using extrusion coupling variables.

actually I have modeled 2 plates inclined at a certain angle, The main aim of my work is to mesh both the plates with different and predefined regular mesh, so I have made them separately and now I want to join them using extrusion coupling variable keeping the egde common.
