Porous media flow pattern

Hello,

I'm often facing a strange behaviouz in the flow pattern in porous media. The velocity close to the wall begins to oscillate. The closer to the wall the stronger the oscillations. At the wall itself the velocity is 0 as expected. So, my question is: What causes these oscillations and what to do to avoid them?

Dear Till,

this sounds like some numerical issue from either meshing or time stepping (if you have a time dependent solver). Please go to www.comsol.de/support and load up the model in a support case.
