Mesh convergence and bc

I have an interpolation function applied to the top boundary of a rectangular geometry. The interpolation function is a table of 50 temperatures which correspond to 50 days (the unit has been specified in arguments). If I am running my model from day 1 to day 50 with a time step equal to 1 day then every day should have its own top boundary surface temperature and the temperature at this boundary should be the same (given a specific time step to look at) regardless of element size.
When I run a mesh convergence test however, I am finding that the runs do not line up at this top boundary like they should when looking at later time steps.
Any thoughts on why this might be? I have attached an image of temperature with depth for the different max element sizes as an example of what I see.
