Simulation with a very high Peclet Number

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi there,

I'm working a geothermal problem, when I put the variables to work with the simulation I got a very high Peclet number, then I need to know if it's possible to stabilize the solution, and what is the way to do that..

Thanks for the help.

Lucio

Hi

have you checkedfrom the help / doc if the Reynolds and Peclet number are not "Cell ... number" hence based on the mesh average size "h" characterisitic Length and not the model Length, this should change the way you consider these numbers

Good luck

Hi Ivar,

Could you please inform me how to get the mesh average size?
I tried to find it in the mesh setting and only get the maximum and minimum mesh size.

Thank you
