Contact Resistance Problem

I am building a 3D model in which I have two slabs of conducting materials that are overlapping over an area. I am trying to deduce the actual contact resistance between these two slabs. I have actual laboratory data to match it to.
Is there a way to model the contact resistance without introducing a layer thickness there?
In the documentation it states that there are two ways of modeling the contact resistance. One is the conductivity with a layer thickness and the other is a general layer impedance (without thickness?). However when introducing the contact resistance into the model, I do not see an option for a general layer impedance Zl on any of the menus.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
